Billy Coyle was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 10, 1974. He attended elementary and middle school in Oklahoma City, but moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School in 1993. He then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and attended boot camp at Paris Island, South Carolina. Billy remained in the United States Marine Corp Reserves while attending college and was honorable discharged in 2001 at the rank of E-5, Sergeant.

Billy attended Florida State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1998. After a brief stint in the finance industry, he returned to the Okahoma City area in 2000 and graduated from the University of Oklahoma Law School in 2003. Billy has been practicing criminal defense law with the Coyle Law Firm since his graduation.

Billy is admitted in Federal Court for the Western and Northern Districts of Oklahoma, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Federal Bar Association, and serves on the Board for the Oklahoma City Chapter. He is also a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma County Bar Association and the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and a Member of the Holloway American Inns of Court. In the summer of 2007, Billy graduated from the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming and has since attended several graduate programs.

Billy is married to Heather Elizabeth Coyle and they have one son, Jack Coyle. He attends Our Lady’s Cathedral in Oklahoma City, where he serves on the Parrish Council. His hobbies and interests include golf, politics, horses and fishing.
